Yard Cards are digital communication cards which fit to your preferred communication channels. By using your card, you can easily connect with others, send information immediately, follow-up later, or optionally receive event alerts. Yard Cards can be shared using your smartphone and look like business cards, but have a lot more power.

How Yard Cards work
A Yard Card is a digital identity which lets you sign in to Yard and any of the Yard products using a password or any social login you already have. You can use your Yard Card identity to assign your interests and contact data to it. When you do so, you can use the full potential of Yard.
When your interests are saved, you don't have to search for events manually anymore: Yard Alerts can let you know when relevant events exist. And when attending an event, you can use your Yard Card for connecting with others. A Yard Card can contain just publicly available information or can be unlocked when talking to someone.
Yard Cards can have relations
Cards cannot just be created for natural persons, but also for companies (and even IT systems). Yard Cards can also form relations and have privacy features.
Managers of a company have admin rights to control business cards of their employees. Users of Yard Cards can store the contact data gained to any desired 3rd party software including managing the lifetime and timeliness of such data.

Yard Cards can interact
Every card is designed to work with your preferred communication channels and will help you to get around.
- Sign in to Yard with your email address or your favorite social login service, such as Google, Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, etc.
- Use the Yard products through browser, email and/or your preferred messengers, such as email, Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, Slack, etc.
- Use common payment providers such as PayPal or Stripe, including paying through credit card. Register to events in seconds by passing your profile to them.
- Link electronic identity and authentication systems to your card, like eIDAS or LEI.
The fastest way to create your cards is to sign in via LinkedIn. This way your profile data is read and your cards will be created in seconds.
Are you connecting via LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is great for sharing news, but bad at direct communication between people. In their desperation of having no alternatives, people often use LinkedIn to share their contact information. This has drawbacks, such as:
- Your connection is stuck on your LinkedIn profile, you cannot export it.
- You don't have a direct contact data for following up.
- Users on LinkedIn often don't answer if you write to them.
- Your colleagues don't have access to your LinkedIn contacts.
- You get messages from people which you did not give your contact data to.

Premium Yard Cards
Premium Yard Cards let organizations control the issuance of business cards of their employees and manage contact data of associated cards. Business cards will be able to be issued through HR management software, which can be connected to Yard.
Premium Yards come with a lot of customization options and will let you also change the look and feel. Users of Premium Yard Cards can define where to save their data, for example to their preferred CRM system.
If business card holders and company card managers verified their contact data, identities will be marked as verified and thus trustworthy.
